Lose yourself in a book
(Find yourself on the shore)
The tranquillity of Australia’s deepest freshwater lake immediately puts you at ease. Ringed by mountain ranges and fringed with Sassafras, Myrtle, Beech trees and native pines, the foreshore is the perfect place to plan your next adventure or simply contemplate doing nothing. Under the shade of a 2,000 year old tree you can lose yourself in a book. Alternatively, take a short stroll to the National Parks Visitors Centre and discover more about the first European settlers drawn to the lake and the diversity of native wildlife that is all around you. The friendly locals are always on for a chat – even if you can’t speak “Pademelon”. |
